Marsha Owen, self-employed potter for over twenty years, maintains her interest by always being open to new ideas and techniques.
“There is always something to learn from clay” she says. “About ten years ago I was looking for a stoneware clay that would be similar to those toasty iron-rich clays I worked with in the 70’s. Brian at Highwater Clays formulated Orangestone that I now use almost exclusively. I love it for the warm color, ease of throwing, and the iron-spotting which lends such interest to my glazed pots. Thanks Highwater.”
