Spodumene (Australian)
Spodumene is a source of lithia, which is a flux, that helps to develop copper blue tone glaze, and is used in stoneware and porcelain bodies and glazes as a feldspar. Can replace feldspar and also reduces the vitrification temperature, thermal expansion, and shrinkage rate in glazes and clays.
